Murder on the Orient Express Review
TITLE: Murder on the Orient Express
AUTHOR: Agatha Christie
Once upon a time, when I was around 9 or ten years old, I watched the movie “Murder on the Orient Express” with my grandfather. I loved it! My grandfather then blew my mine by telling me it was based on a book. A week later, he gave me a copy of the book, and a love affair with the mystery genre was born.
The premise is simple, a millionaire is found dead in his compartment on the Orient Express, he was stabbed a dozen times. His door was locked from the inside. Who did it? That is the question Belgian detective Hercule Poirot must discover.
I have to admit this is one of those books I go back to from time to time. It is not that there is nothing new out there, it is that this book is that enjoyable time and time again.
This book is the one that started my love affair with mysteries, especially the “who dunnit” side of the genre. I love piecing the puzzle together and figuring out the villain.
Thank you for the introduction Gramps.
